Tripp Mathis was born and raised in Fort Worth, Tx. He has spent the last few years building a band from scratch around his honest lyrics and undeniable harp skills. He ironically refers to his band as "The Traitors"; a mix of roots-driven rythym and not-quite-bluegrass picking mixed with soulfully crafted acoustic near-ballads, both settling comfortably behind Tripp's gravelly yet emotive voice.
